East Retford relegated last year and undefeated this year were the visitors

We lined up

pikey , bryn the gym , alf , artley, yorkie , draps , stu , rhys , mitch , hobbit , dave, cookie , sad;er, anvil and fat prop...bench lee, daints and stickie

the seconds away at Retford in the pennant numbers looked good ( they also won 4 two out of three in the pennant)

we knew how Retford played and outlaws rugby league players infiltrated both teams

hamians had been told that the key was to stop the big opposition pack , rolling mauls and hold their own possession

stop silly penalties and backchat to refs

well with the pack conceeding over two/three stone a man their efforts were immense
