Casuals 24 - Hamians 26

the game was at canalside and we won 26-24

drama , the best comeback since liverpool v intermilan , Red Rum galloping past Crisp, Ali and the rope a dope versus Foreman ...we had it all

they thought the cup upset could not be repeated ....little did they know

the side epsy , yorkie , phil and phil , Can , Lamin and Draps ...forwards hobbit , dainty (red mist ) jnr , big dave , jp , pud , mossa, anvil and fat prop

crap warm up traffic etc , total confusion

keep game simple and tight , wear them down

sunshine goes start game in rain

they kick to us and hamians catch , drive and kick to touch

casuals lineout
for next 4 mins , they drive round fringes , use runners , rolling mauls and progress no where as fringe defence holds good and repeatdly drives them backwards

pace of game frantic but skills level high

good backs defence results in good turn over and counter attack ball

scrummage , 8 picks up and drives , defend rucks and drives , pinch ball but forwrd pass and 5 yd scrum

yorkie cahse kick , they recover ...pressure good from hamians ...csuals kick with wind

hamians clear ...pinch line out , draps drives on , lamin attempts long miss pass spilled and they chase through

again chase kick ....forwrds decide to drive on relentlessly

again and again good ball won and half chances fall ...positive attitude means only matter of time

lamin pucking up periodically

it would be unfair to list the try scoring opportunities sqaundered or the strange ref decsions on advantage

scrummage prowess starting to tell as casuals retention of the ball reduced

supporters anxious

lamin starts to probe with ball realaising the forwards will create the platform

short lineouts confuse and off the top ball giving midfield chance to exploit

yorkie leads the charge at kick off , forwrds physicality starts to bruise their way forward

phil , lamin and dainty getting under the skin and shinanigans a plenty

casuals infringin as cannot compete as hamains get on top , still runnung hard

penalty ...two senior hamians call move from a decade ago from pivot and casuals defence transfixed , chicago breaks through and powers over ..

dave catches and drives , ruck out , lamin puts boot on , yorkie pressurises an line out

4 ball off the top , good interpassing ' lamin scoots over

they miss touch , epsy runs back drive on great ball recycled again and agaun .. defence solid
