Hamians 5 - Casuals 8

Quite honestly if you had asked which side was pushing for promotion and the other langwishing in relegation difficulty from saturday you would probably have got it wrong

Except casuals somehow managed to comeaway with a hardfort 8-5 win , which they will admit was a bit fortunate .

The wind was howling and that affected flowing back play and mistakes were a plently .
To hamians credit they took the game to casuals form the off both in defence and attack

The season problem of converting pressure to points again reared its head with half breaks and passes somehow going adrift

we had the wind and nil all at half time

hamians mistake allows play in 22 and uncessary penalty under posts gives 3 nil lead to visitors

hamians try and again and again make half break but casuals content to wind out clock by using wind to push hamians back down field

this loss means casuals go top and hamians face prospect of relugation as all teams above won , unless bizarre run of results above and we win last three games we are down .

On that note strange things happen at sea and until that fat lady sings we must continue to play as we have since Christmas
