Dronfield ....where's that ....they built a by pass to stop weary travellers being way laid ...

sheffield in all bit but name , it has been described as the land that time forgot ...

hamians who played their 7 years ago will rememebr finishing in the dark after extra time , defending in their 22 for the last ten minutes to come away with an away winning draw ...

since then the school and changin rooms had been demolished ..you parked on a pile of rubble , and walked a mile to the pitch

More importantly the pie and peas are still great and the Stones was excellent with the cost of a pint great value ...

the welcome on the pitch was everything you would anticipate with the locals salivating at the chance to batter the pretty posh boys from the south

oli's second team renagades travelled as well and put up a creditable performance on the adjacent pitch to lose by 3 scores to 4 and a couple of kicks ..

will the 14 month undefeated league record be snatched away ...leavey spouts on about patterns of play and communication ....the next 40 mins is about inner core and bloody minded self belief that you look after ur mates

dronfield think they will steam roll the southern softies

second half score 10 nil to the hamians and the barbaric hoards were repelled

a bit like rorkes drift at times but ended with hamians pack shunting dronfiled up the slope with second team cheerin from touchline

great moments of second half , a score each from chicago and epsy , epsy catchin kicks into the sun and counterattcking with intelligence and great strength , pikeys bottle under the high ball and scramblin on loose ball in defence , dave and hobbit to nick ball on the ground , and the all round defensive attitude and implimentation

poor points amount of daft penalties which allowed a tiring side keep us under pressure

Away win 25 - 14 ...Dronfield will play worse and win , hamians just keep the winning habitt

So 14 months of undefeated league rugby ...top of the table

we stopped off at the SWINGER PUB in Hucknall on the way back
