Hamians 36 - Dronfield 10

sunshine and dry underfoot ( well nearly ) hamians posted two home wins

36-10 to the firsts and 41 zero to the mighty two's

On the bigger pitch it was a bit of a must win against Dronfield who season was much like ours ...they turned up with the usual big pack and a remarkable place kicker !

LEavey line us up as mike , yorkie,luke, callum, bryn . LAMIN , draps , jezzer, ice, hobbity , stickiy, cookie , mozza , daints jnr and a fat prop

a varied sel;ection but confident of their ability to win first phase ball aand with backs who could exploit it ...

With the enormity of the game the first half was two packs testing each other out and midfield play a tackling contest ...

it became apparent hamians were solid on their own ball and placing Dronfeild under extreme pressure causing their eight to pick up to protect his half backs ...

strong defence was also evident as only a series of penalties prevented hamians exploiting early on .

Lamin using the ball wisely both to inside runners and the wide outside was testing the visitors defence .

To their credit cover defence was good and they were adapt at slowing down ball at the breakdown .

Hamians slowly worked out the chink on the armour

From strong scrummage , ball spun to lamin . who releases him self on a forceful jinking run , to ignore a overlap twice and two inside runners to nearly make the whitewash to pop off to callum ..5 nil

Visitors have good field position but hamoans clear easily

Hamians as Dronfield tire makin inroads in backs , only deperate tackles keeping us at bay .
